Yokohama India becomes Co-Sponsor to SJOBA Rally 2019

Yokohama becomes Co-Sponsor to the 32nd year of the SJOBA Rally 2019. Globally, Yokohama has become synonymous to motor sports, in India it would be our endeavor to associate with motor sports events as much as possible. Through this co-sponsorship, would create awareness about the importance of using the appropriate tyres as that is the only part of the vehicle which is in contact with the road surface. Yokohama would offer ADVAN Rally tyres to the winners and officials. Yokohama would also extend technical expertise to evaluate health of the tyres being used at the participant’s vehicles. The company’s support for motor sports in India contributes to the growth, development and revitalization of the motorsports, greater recognition of the YOKOHAMA brand and the automobile industry as a whole.
 
The SJOBA Rally has been a nurturing ground for top rallyists of the country. From what began as a basic scooter rally in the year 1981 with handful of participants has now grown to be a major sporting event in the country with participation by more than one hundred rallyists – many of who are top rally drivers. The Rally is duly approved by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). This year, the 32nd year of SJOBA Rally will take place from March 1 to 3 in Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh area.
